Every senior at the High School For Performing and Visual Arts leaves behind a legacy painting that will stay with the school. My painting is acrylic on a 3′ by 5′ canvas. May it grace the walls and inspire artists to come.
I made this painting about a year ago. Although quite some time has passed it has remained to be one of my favorites. I based it off the feeling of isolation and introspection as well as the desire to not lose ones own youth.
Often I find it difficult to express myself through words but random thoughts come to me and I place them on canvas. This is one of those examples. Totally random as is much of my art.
16 x 20 Acrylic on Canvas
This painting is a combination of multiple dreams combined into one large painting which is three feet by five feet canvas using acrylics. It was my first large piece that I had in my senior show.
My dad has been instrumental in keeping a log of my art from the very beginning. This is my first real art. He says, “We must always remember our beginnings.” This art really excited my dad when I was in preschool. He saw it and said, “Amazing!” I can see how I have improved over the years and I can always share with others that with practice anyone can be better.
This watercolor painting celebrates Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Mongolian traditional clothing. It was painted in 2017.

The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls. ~ Pablo Picasso
